Episode Recap

Main Street Hideaway, later renamed to Kiki’s: A Chicago Bar, was an Ashland City, Tennessee bar that was featured on Season 10 of Bar Rescue.

Though the Kiki’s Bar Rescue episode aired in February 2026, the actual filming and visit from Bar Rescue took place before that around July 2025.

It was Season 10 Episode 1 and the episode name was “Sitting Down on the Job”.

In the first episode of Season 10 (premiering in February 2026), Jon Taffer and the Bar Rescue crew have returned to Tennessee for the eighth time i the show’s history.

More specifically, they’re in Ashland City, TN.

If you’re not familiar with Tennessee, Ashland City is located just a bit to the Northwest of Nashville and is part of the Greater Nashville Metropolitan area.

So, while the population of the town is only around 5,000 people, it’s in a much more populated metropolitan area.

Taffer and his crew are in town to rescue a bar named Main Street Hideaway.

Jon Taffer at Main Street Hideaway

The bar is a family-owned affair and, based on the episode preview video, it seems like the daughter of the owners is the one who invited Taffer to come and rescue the bar.

To recon the bar, Jon Taffer sent in a crew of three people from the Craveworthy Brands Executive Team (weird partnership) – Gregg, Josh, and Sam.

After sitting at the table for a bit, the bartender eventually came over with some menus…but he told them they still needed to order at the bar.

Jon Taffer and the daughter sit in the recon room watching her parents and the staff muddle through service.

The muddle part is a joke, because the bartender actually uses a zester to muddle the drinks.

Unsurprisingly, the drinks aren’t very good.

In general, her parents also seem to be acting pretty beaten down while managing the bar, which isn’t a good sign.

As always, I’m writing this update the day before the episode airs on TV, so I don’t have any more detailed information yet.

However, I do know about the new concept that Taffer decided to put in.

As part of the rescue, Jon Taffer changed the bar’s name from Main Street Hideaway to Kiki’s: A Chicago Bar and Grill.

Note – it seems like the official name change from Main Street Hideaway to Kiki’s: A Chicago Bar didn’t actually go through until December 2025.

Here’s a new sites with the public notice announcing the change.

So – was the Main Street Hideaway Bar Rescue visit a long-term success?

Keep reading my update to learn what happened next and if this Ashland City, TN bar is still open in 2026 and beyond.

Kiki's: A Chicago Bar Update - What Happened Next?

Now that I’ve recapped the episode, let’s talk about how the newly christened Kiki’s Chicago Bar is doing after Jon Taffer and his crew left Ashland City.

I’ll start by talking about whether the bar is still open and using the concept from the show.

After that, I’ll take a look at some of the real-life customer reviews from after the rescue to give you an idea of how actual customers feel about the new Kiki’s concept.

Let’s get into it…

Is Kiki’s still open after Bar Rescue?

As of my most recent check, Kiki’s: A Chicago Bar is still open and serving customers in Ashland City, TN.

More importantly, the bar seems to have stuck with the new Kiki’s Chicago Bar branding and has not reverted back to the old Main Street Hideaway concept.

When I look at the bar’s Facebook page (which is quite active), I see them using the Kiki’s name on all of their posts.

The bar also seems to have lots of events going on.

Most importantly, it seems like they hosted a watch party for when the episode aired on TV.

Kiki's Bar Rescue watch party

The watch party included $1 “Shut It Down” shots, which is a fun concept.

They also have regular “cocktails and karaoke” on Friday nights.

The bar also seems to regularly host live music.

I think this is a good call given that the bar is so close to Nashville and Nashville is known for its music scene.

For example, around the time that the bar’s episode aired on TV, they hosted a band called Feral Hearts.

They also seem to have other regular events beyond that, such as an open mic and bingo on Thursday nights.

Bingo is a bit of an odd event for a bar, but I don’t hate it.

Here’s a full breakdown of the common event schedule at the bar:

Here’s a screenshot of party of Kiki’s menu to give you an idea of the prices and offerings at the bar.

It seems like they continue to offer the Irish nachos that were mentioned on the show.

Note – this is not the complete menu.

And then here’s what the Kiki’s location in Ashland City looks like as of the most recent Google Maps street view update.

Google hasn’t updated it since 2024 so it still shows the old Main Street Hideaway concept.

I’m mainly including it so that you can explore the area around the bar.

Kiki’s Chicago Bar reviews after Bar Rescue

Next, let’s take a look at some reviews of the bar from after it was rescued.

As always for this section, I exclusively focus on reviews from after the Bar Rescue changes.

This is because I want to get a feel for how customers like the place after the new branding, renovations, and operations go in.

Overall, the bar has a 4.5 star rating on over 105+ reviews, though that number includes reviews from both before and after the rescue.

When exclusively looking at more recent reviews, they seem to be very positive.

Pretty much all of them are 5 or 4 star reviews.

I didn’t see a single review under 4 stars from after Taffer’s visit.

Final thoughts on the episode

Overall, the first rescue of Season 10 seems to be going well so far.

The bar is still open and continues to use the Kiki’s: A Chicago Bar and Grill Concept.

They also seem to have lots of events going on, which is always a good sign.

That wraps up my Kiki’s: A Chicago Bar update.

If you want to see some other Tennessee rescues, you also might be interested in my updates for nearby bars – Pit and Barrel / Boondoxxx BBQ in Nashville (the removed episode), Gaddy Shack / Crossroads in Antioch, and The Dickson / Wanted Saloon in Dickson.

I also have a page that lists all of the Bar Rescue episodes in Tennessee.

As always – thanks for reading!

I really appreciate the support, even if Google hasn’t been loving my website lately.

  1. Craveworthy is the company that Jon uses to sell franchises of Taffer’s Tavern. They work with a couple of athletes among their 17 brands.

Of note, 2 of the first 3 Taffer’s Tavern (not counting the one inside the football stadium)–Boston/Watertown and DC next to the Wizards’ stadium–closed within a couple of years of opening. Jon couldn’t rescue his own brand with those 2.

The original in Alpharetta, GA near Atlanta just celebrated its 5 year anniversary. New locations are open in Orlando and a second one in Atlanta. He’s been rumored to be putting one in Alabama for awhile.

  2. I liked this family and hope they succeed long-term. They worked hard once John arrived and have the support of their daughters, which says a lot.
