Alley Cat Bar Rescue episode

Episode Recap

Alley Cat Dive Bar, later renamed to Chase’s Garage, was a Bowling Green, Kentucky bar that was featured on Season 10 of Bar Rescue.

Though the Chase’s Garage Bar Rescue episode aired in March 2026, the actual filming and visit from Bar Rescue took place before that in July 2025.

It was Season 10 Episode 4 and the episode name was “Alley Cat-astrophe”.

In this episode, Bar Rescue makes its first-ever visit to the state of Kentucky.

Though they’ve rescued several bars in neighboring states, they’ve never crossed into Kentucky.

This time, Taffer and his experts are in Bowling Green, Kentucky, a city near the Tennessee border.

As with the previous episodes, I believe that Jon Taffer will be doing the rescue in person again.

Alley Cat Jon Taffer rescue

Taffer and his experts are in town to rescue a bar named Alley Cat Dive Bar.

The bar is owned by Chase Martin, a name that will become more relevant when Jon Taffer rebrands the bar later in the episode (spoiler alert!).

To recon the bar, Taffer sends in Nick Liberato, his culinary expert, and Nick Ortega, his mixology expert.

While that’s happening, Taffer and Chase watch the video from outside.

When the two Nicks get inside, Liberato orders a margarita on the rocks.

Ortega tries to order a cocktail, but he finds out that the bar doesn’t really have a cocktail menu.

The bartender does say that she can make him something, though, so Ortega decides to order a Long Island.

The bartender starts free pouring the liquor for the drink, which you absolutely know is going to drive Taffer crazy.

The man loves systems and hates estimates.

Taffer also thinks the glass is too big, which means it requires too much liquor.

Nick Ortega is not a fan of either of the drinks.

After they get the drinks, the two Nicks also order some food.

They get chicken wings, mozzarella sticks, and a smash burger.

Before the chef can get started making the food, he needs to wash some dishes.

He also puts the food in the fryer before even turning on the fryer, which is super weird.

I guess the mozz sticks are just sitting in lukewarm oil? That’s kind of gross.

Alley Cat chef

The chef also touches the milk container after getting out some of the store-bought chicken strips, which creates a cross-contamination issue.

The chef also pours sauce into dirty bottles and then dates it as “today”, which again causes issues because there is still old sauce in the dirty bottles.

While all of that is happening, Becca, the manager, doesn’t seem to actually be doing any managing.

Taffer tells Chase to stop being a “chump” and run his business.

After that, Taffer has to go in to SHUT IT DOWN because of the food hygiene practices he’s seen in the kitchen.

That’s it for my recap for now because, as always, I’m writing this a day before the episode airs on TV.

However, my research has turned up the new concept that Taffer put in place at the bar.

As part of the rescue, Taffer changed the bar’s name from Alley Cat Dive Bar to Chase’s Garage.

Chase's Garage Bar Rescue renovation

So – was the Alley Cat Bar Rescue visit a long-term success?

Keep reading my update to learn what happened next and if this Bowling Green, Kentucky bar is still open in 2026 and beyond.

Chase's Garage Update - What Happened Next?

Now that I’ve recapped the episode, let’s talk about how the bar is doing after Taffer and the two Nicks left Bowling Green, Kentucky.

I’ll start by looking at whether or not Chase’s Garage is still open and using the concept that Taffer put in.

Then, I’ll take a look at some real customer reviews from after the rescue to get a feel for how people like the renovated bar.

Along the way, I’ll also share any other interesting information that I can turn up.

Let’s get into it…

Is Chase’s Garage still open after Bar Rescue?

As of my most recent check, Chase’s Garage is still open and serving customers in Bowling Green, Kentucky.

More importantly, Chase seems to have kept the new name and concept from Taffer, as the bar is still operating as Chase’s Garage.

The bar is very active on its social media profiles and seems to have tons of events and specials.

To start, they have live music pretty regularly, which makes a lot of sense given that the bar isn’t that far away from Nashville.

Here’s an example of a live event from around when the episode aired on TV:

Chase's Garage live music

They also have regular specials – Whiskey Wednesdays and Thirsty Thursdays.

On Tuesdays, Chase’s Garage seems to host a regular karaoke night.

Here’s what the Chase’s Garage location looks like in the most recent picture from Google Maps street view:

Google updated it in February 2026, so it already includes the new Chase’s Garage concept.

The owner’s reaction to Bar Rescue

Before I get to the reviews, I want to share some interesting quotes that I found from a local media publication’s interview with Chase.

He said this about the name change:

Alley Cat wasn’t mine.

Somebody else came up with it.

But Chase’s Garage, that’s something I can build on.

Chase also noted that a lot of the original bar is still there:

There’s a lot still here from the original Alley Cat.

It’s just more of a different decoration.

It kind of gives you the history of the building.

The bar’s manager also seems to like the new name:

I liked it as the Alley Cat.

But with us having a restaurant here, I think Chase’s Garage is beneficial to that new style.

Chase’s Garage reviews after Bar Rescue

Now, let’s take a look at some reviews of the bar from after Taffer’s rescue.

Unlike a lot of bars from the show, it seems like Chase’s Garage actually created a new Google profile instead of keeping the existing one.

So far, it has a perfect 5 star rating on 20 Google reviews, which makes it seem like people like the new concept from the show.

Final thoughts on the episode

So far, Chase seems to have kept the name and concept from Taffer and his experts.

The bar seems to be doing well – it’s active on social media and has lots of events going on.

Reviews for the bar also seem good so far, with a perfect 5 star Google rating at the time that I published this post.

That wraps up my update for the Chase’s Garage Bar Rescue episode.

As I mentioned, this is the only Kentucky bar that has been rescued on the show (so far).

If you want to see other nearby bars, the closest episodes are all in Nashville TN.

You can read my updates for Gaddy Shack / Crossroads in Antioch, Kiki’s Chicago Bar / Main Street Hideaway in Ashland City, and Pit and Barrel / BoondoxXx BBQ (the removed episode).
